Can I plant grass seeds on top of turf?

We had turf layed down in our garden but when we first cut it it was left patchy and bold patches. What can I do?

Answer: Hi Gina
Thank you for the question.
Yes you can oversow turf with seed although you will need to clear the area which is patchy and then make sure you have the same type of seed as the turf. If you have a running variety of lawn it will regrow into the patchy areas as long as you keep the lawn well watered and fed with Dynamic Lifter for Lawns. For your first mow after laying turf you should cut it at it’s highest setting then work your way down to keep the grass healthy.
