Answer: Hi Graham,
Herbs grow best when they are harvested or cut frequently. They will not go to seed or become bitter. Fertilise and water regularly and constantly remove some leaf growth.

Basil and chillies will die during the cooler weather so replant each spring. Parsley, oregano, sage, marjoram and thyme should grow all year round if you fertilise each month.
