my tomatoes leaves are dying ive used copperoxy chloride i have some type of bug eating my tomatoes and also they are splitting at the top

Answer: Hi John, hard to help without lots more specific information. if copper isnt helping to control disease then perhaps the fertilising regime is the problem or there is s problem with the roots. Can’t identify the bug without a little more info, but most likely caterpillar boring into the fruit. Yates Tomato Dust contains copper and will also control caterpillars or you can spray with Yates Success which is based on bacteria and very safe to use. The splitting at the top of the fruit either radially or in concentric rings is caused by fluctuating weather conditions (very hot and dry then cool and wet) and inconsistent watering.
