Answer: Hi Carolyn,

Thank you for contacting Yates regarding your chive, the foliage can be bent as elongating, we normally harvest chive leaves for cooking, which will require nitrogen for green growth.However, if flower is something you would like to harvest, try potassium based fertiliser such as Yates Thrive Roses & Flowers Natural Fish & Seaweed+ Concentrate, the dual acting formula feed through both leaves and roots to boost healthy growth and prolific flowers.
