Medium_img_0089 Rhubarb growth problem.

My plant has beautiful, huge leaves but very short stems. Is there something else I can feed it to help the stems grow longer or have I perhaps buried it too deep. The top of the crown is probably just at or very slightly below the level of the soil

Answer: Hi Ellen,

Rhubarb are notoriously thirsty. Try some Yates Dynamic Lifter Plus Vegetable Food, together with two deep waterings a day (during the warmer months). I have seen instances where part shade during the day does result in a more upright plant habit, particularly with younger plants.

All the very best with them!

Kind regards,
