Medium_dscn2994 eggplant. Weird fruit, rough skin, some black and gold stripey others just fine, 1 large and yellowy.

First time growing eggplant - experienced gardeners here haven't seen these before. The skin is rough, either all over on the large one, or at the bottom end for the smaller, and you can see the strange colouration. Some are like this at the bottom end with some black stripes. There were other fruit that were just fine.
This one in the pic has been like this since it grew so huge, about 2 months ago.

Answer: As much as we would be fasinated by the successful growth of a triffid you simply have a yellow eggplant. Yellow fruit is a sign of stress in an eggplant. Try removing all the fruit and fertilising the plant with Yates Uplift Organic Liquid Fertiliser. Keep the water up to the plant and see if if produces some purple eggplant. If you continue to get yellow eggplant you might need to start again with a new plant.
