My capsicums are rotting from the inside due to a small white crawling insect of some sort eating them up from the inside. What is it and how can I rid my produce from it?

Answer: This problem is consistent with fruit fly larvae. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do once they are in the fruit. You can prevent the infestation by using Yate’s Nature’s Way Fruit Fly Control. This Eco-friendly product controls the female fruit fly which cause the problem by tricking them into ingesting a dose of the naturally occurring insecticide spinosad. You need to start spraying with this product when you first notice fruit flies around. You can do this by using a fruit fly trap. The instructions for making one of these can be found at http://yatesau-production.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/139/How_to_make_a_Fruit_Fly_Trap_Yates.pdf
