My mandevilla has not flowered since I bought it 2 years ago. It is in a welldrained pot in a sunny position.

It was flowering when I purchased it and I repotted it soon afterwards.

Answer: Hi Lesley,

The mandevilla may require fertiliser in Spring that is higher in Potassium to promote flowering. Thrive Soluble for Flower and Fruit or Garden Gold controlled release fertiliser are both excellent products and will help produce flowers as the weather warms up. Sometimes possums can eat any newly emerging shoots and flowers so if you live in an area with possums you may have to net the plants or use a possum deterrent product.
