PROPAGATING GIANT MAIDEN HAIR FERN LOWER NORTH SHORE SYDNEY ?

HAVE FERN GROWING IN MY GARDEN

Submitted: 12:07PM, 05 Feb 2018
Answer: Hi Alan,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

Maidenhair ferns can be cut in half and propagated but in the right environment you will notice that they can grow on their own from the spores.

If you do want to divide your plant it is best done in the Autumn using a clean cut with a sharp shovel. Plant out in a good quality potting mix and water in gently with half strength Dynamic Lifter Liquid.

Kind regards
