Andrew
small courtyard 3mx3m. north facing, looking grown container dwarf citrus and roses, any other suggestion.

just moved into a townhouse villa , that has a small grassed area at front ( north facing) that is about 3m x 3m , with a colourbond fence BUT not solid sheeting, more like a post and rail style.

Looking at growing in containers some roses ( standard and miniatures) , dwarf citrus and finger limes. Any other suggestions?

Answer: Hi Andrew, thank you for contacting us about plant selection. You can grow herbs in hanging baskets, they do quite well-strawberries are also a good option if your looking for food crops. You could also try Lavenders, salvias, osmanthus, gardenias, plectranthus, correas, eremophila and scaveola. I hope this helps http://www.sgaonline.org.au/companion-planting/
