Answer: Hi Betty,

Originally native to Mediterranean region, Lavender loves growing in sunny position and well drained soil. It is a drought tolerant plant, so make sure do not over watering. The best time to prune your lavender plant is after flowering. A third to half of the bush can be removed to prevent forming woody stems.Feed well after pruning.You only need a small amount of a completed fertiliser such as Yates Dynamic Lifter every couple of months. Also fertilise at the end of Winter and water in well to encourage the Spring growth.

A little Yates Garden Lime every 2 years is also good for lavenders. I hope this information has been of assistance.Thank you for your inquiry and happy gardening.
