Need to plant screening hedge for privacy. area has full sun in summer but shade in winter

Live in the south west of WA. In coastal region. sandy soil. Garden backs onto National Park.
Need hedge or some type of high screening plant.
Garden is higher up from neighbours concrete garden.
What a plant that can tolerate full sun, but be able to survive the winter shade that covers the area.
Thanks

Answer: Hi Carol

How would Lilly Pilly do in your part of the world, as they are easy to grow, tolerate a wide range of conditions and make a great hedge?

The other option is a Leighton’s Green that can take a very wide range of conditions, but perhaps not appropriate for the area/location?

If you can give some more info on what does well there, I’m sure we can come up with something more interesting.

Kind regards

Ben
