I live on a main road in Brisbane - can you recommend a shrub / hedge i can plant that is easy growing, doesn't grow too high and will survive the polution from passing traffic

I have listed a few plants that might be suitable for your location. Abelia grandiflora, Agonis flexuosa ‘Nana", Buxus japonica, Callistemon ’Captain Cook’, Callistemon citrus ‘Endeavour’, Callistemon ‘Little John’, Correa alba, Escallonia ‘Pink Pixie’ Cistus x hybridus, and Grevillea superb. You might like to have a browse through your local nursery where I am sure you will be able to have a look at these plants.
