Ask a question now...Lemon tree leaves been chewed, no sign of pests tho'.

Its a " standard' pot grown tree purchase 18 months ago in a
courtyard situated in a leafy part of Glen Iris. I cannot see signs of pests eating it. It was suggested it could it be possums eating it , if so how can this be avoided?

Answer: Dear Mari,

If it is possums chewing the leaves of your lemon tree, it might be a good idea to place a net over the pot to see if you can avoid any more damage. There is a caterpillar that can chew the leaves of lemons, but usually the damage is minimal and no spray is necessary.
