When is the best time to prune my Raspberry bush. It is only about 5 months old and quite tall.I've been told I wont get Raspberries this season.

Answer: Dear Beverley,

There is a real art to the successful growing of raspberries. What I would suggest is that you look at a book called The Complete Book of Fruit Growing in Australia by Louis Glowinski. ISBN 0 85091 870 7. Published by Lothian. There is a complete section on the cultivation and training of this delicious fruit which I am sure you will find particularly helpful. Although it may take 2-3 years before you can harvest the fruit, I am sure it will be well worth the wait.
