Should I spray for Cherry Pear Slug before I see them or wait till thee is evidence of their presence?

Hi Yates, Last season my Cherry Trees were badly hit by Cherry Pear Slug making many of the leaves transparent and looking very sick. I read that you have a product suitable to treat this which is the Ultra Success spray. Should I apply this at bud burst (like you would to treat curly leaf etc) or should I just wait until there are leaves on the tree? I want to get these little blighters before they make my tree look horrible this year (I don't want to wait until they have already done the damage).
Your comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Fiona.

Answer: Hi Fiona,

Thank you for contacting Yates regarding Cherry Pear slug control. Yes, Success ultra is the right product, control at the rate of 2.5ml /L of water and apply when pests are first seen and repeat every 7-14 days .

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
