Thanks for writing to us with your gardening question.

There can be many reasons for what you are seeing happen to your lemon tree. They can be anything as simple as not enough water, to nutritional problems or from insects eating the roots etc.

If you can provide us with either a picture or a more detailed description of the tree we will be able to get a better idea of what the problem is. Try the following to get some information for us.

Have a dig in the soil around the plant and check if there are any grubs present, is the soil moist? What is the colour of the roots? Also tell us what you have been feeding the plant and how often? and how much you have watered it each week. Was there any markings on the leaves from insects? where the leaves a nice even green or was there yellow on them? and in what pattern the yellow on the leaves is?

Any of these will help.
