i have 2 apple trees about 4 y/ flowers in fert. last year, got 2 flower last

both trees v/healthy...g/smith & pink lady on advise stopped feeding them last autumn and got 2 flowers on p/lady last spring...this autumn sprayed them with liquid potash monthly...any help appreciated....Joe
