i have 2 apple trees about 4 y/old...no flowers in spring...no fert. last year, got 2 flower last year...help

both trees v/healthy...g/smith & pink lady on advise stopped feeding them last autumn and got 2 flowers on p/lady last spring...this autumn sprayed them with liquid potash monthly...any help appreciated....Joe
