Medium_2016-04-23_21 lemon tree has hundreds of tiny brown spots on the fruit & leaves - what to do? Fruit still safe to consume?

I've noticed the round brown spots only recently. Autumn weather, some rain. Located in Melbourne. Branches also have bulging lesions.

Answer: Hello Janet,

Thank you for contacting Yates with your enquiry. You appear to have a case of scale on your lemon fruit and foliage. Treat scale on citrus with Yates Pest Oil. It’s available in both a convenient ready to use spray and a concentrate form.

The fruit should remain edible, just be careful to adhere to any withholding period advice on the label of any products applied to the tree.

Feed with Dynamic Lifter Plus Fruit Food to help get the tree back on track sooner.

Kind regards,

Matt
