Answer: Hi Bill,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your orange tree. There are several pests that can cause the sting marks during fruiting season. Bronze orange bugs love to live on any citrus fruits and sap sucking the juice and leave dried and discoloured patchy flesh inside. Try Yates Nature’s Way Citrus & Ornamental Spray. Click here for more info: http://www.yates.com.au/products/organic-gardening/pest-disease-control/Natures-Way-citrus-and-ornamental-spray/.

Another possible cause is fruit fly which is very active during citrus fruiting season. Try Yates Nature’s Way Fruit Fly Control. It works by tricking the insect into absorbing the spinosad that has been combined with an irresistible bait. For more info, visit http://www.yates.com.au/products/pest-control/insects-concentrates/natures-way-fruit-fly-control/#crBm3VWf8ohxt4Og.97.

Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions or perhaps think there might be other potential factors at play.

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
