Can i use garden lime on my gardenia

Submitted: 10:43AM, 05 Oct 2011
Answer: Hi Emilia,
Gardenias prefer a soil with a lower pH and therefore it is not recommended to apply lime. Fertilise with Dynamic Lifter for camellia, azaleas and Rhododendrons as this is also suitable for gardenias. Acitone can also be used as it is an acid tonic for acid loving plants such as azaleas, magnolias, camellias, gardenias and rhododendrons. It lowers and maintains the pH of the soil. It contains nitrogen and iron for healthy leaf growth.
