Chinese Star Jasmine changing colour

Hi, we planted a Chinese star jasmine plant around 4 months ago where it grew quite well for about 3 of those months. Just recently, growth has halted and many of its leaves look brown/red. Please see photo. We watered the plant quite often in the first couple of months but now water about 1-2 times per week. No bugs seem to be eating it and we have given it a good seasol a few times too.

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks,
Cameron

Answer: Hello Cameron,

We recommend feeding with Dynamic Lifter Plus Flower Food. Consider also whether there may have been a change in soil pH recently (or perhaps the plant has recently grown beyond the confines of its originally potted root mass). Soil pH can be raised with Yates Garden Lime or lowered with Yates Soil Acidifier Liquid Sulfur. Also consider whether colder weather may be a factor in your local area over the past month or so. Some plants may react in this way as we move into winter.

Kind regards,

Matt
