Why has my mangoes, got black spots while growing

we have not successfully picked mangoes from this tree. They dont seem to get big enough before they drop off the tree.

Answer: Hi Vince,
The mango tree may have a disease called anthracnose. Black spots form on the leaves and form large dry patches. If younger fruit is affected then it may fall off. On larger fruit small black spots form and then become large brown patches.
To control this disease Yates Liquid Copper must be applied early. Spray every 4 weeks from the end of flowering to harvest time. If you have an extended wet period then you may need to spray every 14 days.
