Answer: Hi Mark,
Chilli and capsicum plants can be affected by target spot (Alternaria solani) which starts as a black spot on the leaf. The disease is worse in warm, moist weather. Chillis and capsicums prefer a warm sunny position and do not like cool weather. They generally will not grow in winter. If you are growing them in pots remove the saucer from underneath the pot to ensure they drain freely.

Blossom end rot can occur if there is irregular watering and this is seen when the fruit is half grown.

Try and keep the plants as healthy as possible with Yates Sea Weed solution or Yates Uplift Organic Liquid Fertiliser.
