Medium_black_fungus I have a black fungus on the leaves of my potted desert roses and a potted cycad. How do I fix this?

I have two potted desert roses and two potted cycads. One cycad and one desert rose sitting beside reach other, these are the worst effected with the black fungus. The other desert rose has some fungus but the other cycad has no fungus at all. I've tried white oil over the past couple of weeks with no effect. They get half day full sun and watered a couple times a week.

Answer: Hi Vaneta,
Thank you for attaching the photographs as this makes identifying the problem much easier. Both plants have a severe infestation of scale which can be treated with Pest oil or Confidor. I suggest Confidor is used at this stage as it is systemic and will be translocated throughout the plant. You may need two applications to control the scale. Later in the season you can apply Pest Oil.

To improve the health of the plant apply some Yates Uplift which contains fish emulsion, seaweed, fulvic acid, beneficial soil microbes and a wetting agent.
