Medium_magnolia001 Our magnolia tree "Elizabeth" flower petals have black stains through them. What is the problem and remedy pls

Answer: Hi Sue,Did you have a late frost this year? The damage looks slightly like cold damage and were the leaves and shoots also affected? Thrips damage is seen as flecking on the petals and usually is seen when the weather warms up.
I am not aware of any disease that affects the petals alone.
