Can I spray Boysenberries for black spot with Rose Shield, before they flower?

I have had black spot on my roses, which I have treated this year with Rose Shield. The caution says not to spray it on edible crops, and I want to treat my Boysenberries which have also suffered the last couple of years. Can I treat them with Rose Shield until the flowers or berries start to form?

Answer: Dear Cecily,

The product Rose Shield is only registered for roses or other ornamentals (shrubs, annuals and perennials.

The product is not registered for edibles. Regardless of whether the bush is flowering/fruiting or just bearing leaves, this product is not registered for edible crops and shouldn’t be sprayed.
