Medium_20170803_220455 Avocado plant seems to be sick, not sure what is wrong with it.

Hello!

My names Tom and i've been growing my avocado from a seed for the past year or so. It seems to be sick, with browning around some of the leaves, and just generally looks sad. Ive sprayed it with Pest Oil and put some snail killer ontop of the soil, but it hasn't really done anything. Please help! Attached are some photos.

Answer: Hi Thomas,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

The browning on the edge of the leaves normally indicates watering related issues. I would suggest checking the drainage of the pot and make sure the soil is not too wet or dry out completely. You could remove and dispose of the most affected leaves and water in some Dynamic Lifter Liquid Concentrate. It’s an organically certified fertiliser, which contains seaweed, blood&bone and fish meal to help developing new roots and restoring healthy growth. Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
