How to get rid off sooty mould on lime tree (both on the lime and the leaves)

The lime tree is getting sooty mould on its leaves as well as on the limes. What is the best way to make the tree from this mould and its causes?

Answer: Hi Subir,

Thanks for contacting Yates.

Sooty mould is caused by the sap that is exuded from sap sucking insects such as scale or aphids. The best way to prevent sooty mould is to target these pests as well.

For your citrus tree we recommend using Natures Way Citrus & Ornamental Spray. This product is registered to target the scale and aphids in your citrus tree as well as combating the mould that is produced as well.

Kind regards,

Yates Horticulturalist
