My gardinias are covered in a type if black sooty mould. How can I get rid of this ? Petra

Answer: Hi Petra,
gardenias will often get sooty mould when there are scales and aphids around so have a look for these pests and use pest oil and eventually the sooty mould will disapear. Scale are tiny insects with a hard shell which sit on the veins of your leaves and on the stems of your plants.
