Medium_hedge_mess How do I treat a 156 sq/mtr Murraya hedge suffering from a scale leading to sooty mould?

Being such a large & wide hedge, 25m long and comprising of at least 40 plants I need an effective solution. Possibly another disease causing leaf deformation?

Answer: Looks like to have a nasty infestation there. You definitely have scale and sooty mould. The leaf deformations look like psyllids. For this sized infestation you could use Confidor Lawn and Garden Insecticide Concentrate 200ml. The 200ml concentrate will make up to 60L of spray. Scale at the adult stage when they are hard like this are harder to control then when they are in there softer stage, you will definitely need to apply 3 sprays 2 weeks apart as shown on the instructions to ensure you can get this outbreak under control.
