I have this disease or pest on my nectarine tree which has infested a third of it. There are heavy infestations if these black mite looking things and not sure whether to spray with lime sulphur or winter oil as I don't know what the infestation is

What you’re describing sounds very much like aphids. These are small soft bodied insects with sucking mouthparts. Aphids can be controlled by a variety of Yates products including Yates Pyrethrum Insecticide, Natures Way Insect & Mite Killer Natrasoap Gun, Yates Mavrik Chewing & Sucking Insect Killer and Pest Oil.
