I have 3 'Pickwick' Dutch crocus corms and 3 'King Alfred' daffs. I live in Brisbane. Neither flowered.

I only put them in the fridge for four weeks. Is this the reason why? Will I need to refrigerate them for longer because I live in Brisbane? I also have 3 'Soleil D'Or' jonquils and they flowered perfectly in mid winter this year. I refrigerated them with the Dutch crocus and the daffs. Are they different from daffodils?

Answer: Jonquils will flower well in warmer zones but daffodils and crocus bulbs, despite the chilling, prefer much cooler temperatures hence the lack of flowers.
