Herbs for impatient gardeners

Cress is a prolific and refreshing herb that’s easily grown in window boxes or pots and can even be grown indoors in good light, making it perfect for apartment and balcony gardeners. Also known as ‘land cress’ it’s a tasty addition to salads and sandwiches.

Yates® Salad Curled Cress can be sown during June and will be ready to harvest in as little as 4 weeks. The seed can be sown directly into a pot and placed in partly shaded spot and kept moist. To promote lots of healthy green foliage, feed regularly with Yates Thrive® Vegie & Herb Liquid Plant Food (which is rich in nitrogen, the key nutrient for leaf growth) and cut the delicious leaves at the base when they’re 10 cm high.
