What can you plant under Peppercorn trees?
The tree is on the road verge and old. I would like to put plants underneath preferrably natives. Will they grow?
Hi Louise,
If you want to start some natives on your verge make sure you have enough soil and under prune the branches so that there is plenty of air movement around your plants. You could probably start with some native ground covers like Brachycome spp, Myoporum parvifolium, Hibbertia obtusifolia and Scaevola aemula. These plants will be hardy but they will also be easy to maintain. I hope this helps
