Is your Sulphate of Iron the same as Iron Sulphate that I have been told to mix with other substances?
This is for native plants and the substances are epsom salts and sulphate of ammonia
Hi Gil,
Sulphate of iron is the same as iron sulphate, the active constituent being Ferrous Sulphate.
You have obviously been given a recipe to follow. Always be careful when making your own fertiliser that the balance is correct, particularly with native plants.
Fertilisers that we would recommend for native plants, are Acticote for Natives and Yates Dynamic Lifter. Both of these fertilisers has been specifically formulated to meet the requirements of native plants.
