Several grevillea (Robyn Gordon) have turned brown and died suddenly after being established nearly 6 months. Out of 7 shrubs planted at the same time, 3 have died at different times and they were not next to each other. What could be the reason?

Australian Natives • Diseases

Hi Denise,

most likely root rot caused by heavy soil and/or poor drainage. hard to advise further without seeing the symptoms, position and the soil. if strong fertilisers with phosphorus have been used this could also be a factor, or there may be curl grubs eating the roots (check the root sytem of one just fater it has died)
