It has been raining regularly in Brisbane so it hasn't been necessary to manual water. The lawn gets fertilised one a month in the Spring and Summer time. I have also tried treating for grub worms with spray solution, its doesn't seem to have any effect.

Lawns • Pests

Hi Phi,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

To check for curl grub, in the evening, pour a bucket of soapy water (dilute a few drops of concentrated dishwashing detergent in a 9 litre bucket of water) into an area of lawn adjacent to a damaged area. Cover this spot with a damp towel and check for grubs sheltering beneath the towel in the morning.

If grub is the issue, try "Yates Grub Kill & Protect for Lawns"  against a large range of common lawn pests including curl grubs, various beetle larvae, caterpillars and provides up to 6 months protection for your lawn. The product is available in both granular and concentrated liquid. Please read more of the product from the following link: http://www.yates.com.au/product/lawn/lawn-pest-control/yates-grub-kill-protect-for-lawns

Hope this helps and happy gardening :)
