Is pyrethrum insecticide harmful to birds?

is pyrethrum insecticide harmful to birds should they eat sprayed insects

General Advice • Product Advice

Dear Ken,

We can understand your concerns about whether Yates Pyrethrum Insect Pest Killer Concentrate is harmful to birds should they eat the sprayed insects. Due to the very low amount of active used when applying Yates Pyrethrum Insect Pest Killer Concentrate, birds would have to consume substantial amounts of insects to have any effect. It would almost be physically impossible for birds to eat enough insects to have any effect.
