Why is my pomegranate plant losing its leaves

The fertilizer was for fruits and citrus. I applied leaving around 40cm from the plant. After applying within 2 weeks all leaves turned into yellow and dropped. branches are still looking alive but without leaves. did I use wrong fertilizer? how i can get the plant to live?

Fruit and Citrus • Physical Damage

Hi,

Sometimes a heavy application of fertiliser may cause leaf drop. Generally the best time to fertilise pomegranates is in Spring and late Summer with Thrive All Purpose or Dynamic lifter. Pomegranates are partially decidious so some leaf fall will occur during winter. To help plant recovery after stress and improve the root system and plant growth, use Liquid Dynamic Lifter
