Why does my Fig tree keep getting attacked by black caterpillars?

We planted new fig tree 6months ago,it is growing beautiful, has fruit, but now the leaves seemed to be invaded with black caterpillars, what can we do? thanks any help will be much appreciated Linda F

Fruit and Citrus • Pests

To control the caterpillars on your fig tree, spray with Yates Natures Way Caterpillar Killer Dipel. For an effective control the product must be re-applied if it rains or the leaves get wet. Fruit sprayed with Dipel is not subject to a witholding period.
