How do you care for citrus trees in winter

How do I fertilize them and when?

Fruit and Citrus • Garden Jobs

Hi Pam,

I am not familiar with 'snowbird citrus trees'. I am presuming they are multi grafted trees you are referring to. Citrus enjoy a nice sunny, well protected spot in which to grow well. They require ample water during the hot summer months and they need to be fed with a good quality citrus food on a regular basis. We would recommend a fertiliser called Dynamic Lifter Plus Organic Based Fruit Food. Apply this fertiliser in early spring and again in early autumn. Enjoy
