What copper spray can I use to control black spot on my paw paws

The disease started on underside of leaves but is now affecting the lower fruit and I am concerned about the withholding period

Hi Glenda,

Pawpaws are particularly susceptible to black spot during the cooler months of the year. Spraying with a copper based fungicide (Yates Leaf Curl Copper Fungicide) prior to the onset of this cooler weather would be helpful for the tree. Making sure the tree has sufficient nutrients available to it will help to reduce the liklihood of this fungus taking hold. In spring and autumn apply a fertiliser such as Thrive Natural Pelletised Plant Food For Fruit and Citrus. Regular applications of Yates Dynamic Lifter Liquid Concentrate solution would also be helpful.
