Our lemon tree is showing signs of some sort of infestation cracks along trunk, and flaking bark.
This has been going on around 5ish months now. We had a chat with a guy at a nursery who suggested to apply white oil (I've attached a photo) x4 every two weeks but it's just gotten worse. We are incredibly novice gardeners

Looks like the matured citrus tree might be affected by root rot or collar rot. To control if it's not too late by spraying the tree with 'Yates Anti Rot'. It is a systemic fungicide which is absorbed by the foliage and travels down to the roots, can be used on various plants to control phytophthora root rot, crown rot and collar rot.
