Is there a way of controlling flowering quince suckers that are invasive?
I inherited a beautiful flowering quince with the house but it is sending suckers into next doors paddock, the lawn and the council verge.I dont want to damage the parent plant.
Hi Yvette,
I think this is a job for an aborist. You certainly don't want to harm the health of your beautiful tree but then on the other hand, you want to consider your neighbour. An aborist will be able to professinally remove the suckers and carry out root reduction to contain the growth of the tree. You may be able to contact your local council and see if they can assist you in any way.
