Hi. I have holes in and around the margin of my Liriope and Clivea leaves. Is it a weevil?

Hi Peter,

It is likely to be the lilly caterpillar which is causing the damage on your clivea and liriope plants. The product to use that will control this pest is called Yates Success Ultra. This caterpillar can chew away the leaf surfaces and seriously disfigure the plant. You can use this product as a preventative by spraying the foliage of your plants in early autumn as this is when this caterpillar is active. Spray the Success Ultra every 7-14 days including underneath the leaves.
