When do I prune my Roses in Townsville? We don't get the dormant winter period like other places?

You can prune your roses now. It is still a good idea to prune your roses now even if they are still in leaf and flowering. It gives you a chance to prune out any dead or diseased wood and to shorten healthy branches to promote healthy new growth as the flowers are borne on the new wood. After you have finished pruning, spray the bare stems with lime sulfur which will clean up any fungal spores that tend to linger on the branches. After picking up all the leaves and pruned off pieces from underneath the roses, spray the ground also with some lime sulfur.
