Parrot Tree [Schotia brachypetala] not flowering

I have had this tree for about 25 years and it has only ever had acouple of flowers on it. Planted in scrub soil beside Tully River nth. qld. Plenty of sun and well drained. What do think is the problem?

Hi Campbell,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

If the tree is healthy with lots of leaves, you may try to add some potassium based fertiliser to help encourage more flowers. Try every 6-8 weeks with  'Yates Thrive Natural Roses & Flowers Organic Based Pelletised Plant Food' as a complete, soil-conditioning fertiliser for more prolific blooming and healthy plant growth. Hope this helps and happy gardening :)
