I want to repot a nepanthes plant into a hanging basket but not sure if a hanging pot needs a dish attached

The actual hanging pot I purchased that has th plant actually has a water catch tray as part of it. I couldn't find something similar at bunnings only the Terracotta one in photo. Is my plant going to the thrive in a hanging pot without the water tray attached? Also that pot was the smallest I could find (on a level upwards of the original one) do you think its suitable. I have a mix of sphagnum moss and perlite to use in repotting.

Hello Keilly, thank you for your question. The potting media you are using - Shagnum Moss - holds lots of water, however you may find that if you are not able to water it regularly, it can still dry out. An attached saucer isn't necessary, but keeping it moist is ideal. Remember you can always put another pot and saucer inside the hanging pot, so it will do the job for you.
