I think I have a rat that is biting clean off very close to the base my Tree Begonias
Can I try and re grow them from the stems left behind (most are about 180cm 6ft high) will they sprout roots in winter or will they stay alive until warmer weather in the spring? Can I leave the high stems in one length and grow from there or should I cut them into smaller pieces? I read your very interesting article growing from hardwood cuttings

Hi Darryl,
Thank you for contacting Yates.
It is best to cut the stem into 20-30 sections before replanting. You may also submerge 1/3 of the cutting into water and replant once there are sufficient roots developed.
Hope this helps and happy gardening :)
